Our Mother-Daughter Team Of Family Law Attorneys

Stolar & Pollins, PLLC, has more than 39 years of combined experience in handling family law issues. From our office in Tucson, Arizona, we work closely with our clients to help them understand the impact of the decisions they make and how to best protect their interests in a divorce.

Merle Stolar has a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) and was formerly a teacher of first grade and later taught special education before she obtained her law degrees. Merle's background in education combined with her legal experience gives her a unique view of situations involving families with children, as well as families who may have children with special needs. Merle also earned an advanced tax law degree (L.L.M.) Her knowledge of tax issues helps her to evaluate the tax implications for her clients regarding child support, property division, spousal maintenance and other issues related to tax and asset protection.

Karen Pollins obtained her Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A.) and worked for six years in the business world before pursuing a career in law. Karen's background in business combined with her legal experience gives her insight into handling family businesses in property division and other financial disputes. She also works with Child Protective Services of Pima County (CPS) in cases of abuse and neglect in juvenile court.

Both lawyers have extensive experience in all areas of family law and work as a team to solve clients' problems and address their concerns. We take a very hands-on approach with our clients, giving them access to us via email and phone and focusing our attention on them and their cases.
